Snow Make-Up Classes
All classes that meet on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be extended one week AFTER THE RECITAL to make-up for the missed snow days. So, if your class meets on one of these days and was canceled due to the snow days, you do not need to do extra make-up classes. The final day of classes is now Thu. June 14.
Olympia Dance Festival
Johansen Olympia Dance Center students perform at the Olympia Dance Festival (co-produced by Ballet Northwest and the Washington Center) on Sunday March 4. The performance will feature ballet, modern, tap, jazz, Irish, African, and bellydance!
Save the date for the 2012 Olympia Summer Dance Intensive
This year's program will be held from August 6-24 with one, two, or three options! Dancers must have completed the Beginner 4 Ballet (or equivalent) level of training. Tuition is as follows: $320 (one week), $576 (two weeks), or $796 (three weeks.) Guest instructors from Pacific Northwest Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, and Dance Theatre of Harlem will be in residence. The curriculum will include ballet, pointe/pre-pointe, conditioning, jazz, contemporary, swing, African, and educational seminars. Housing options are available.
