Crescendo-BNW’s 55th Anniversary Celebration

Ballet Northwest celebrates its 55^th anniversary on Saturday, October 11 at the Washington Center with this groundbreaking one-time only performance featuring special guests from Masterworks Choral Ensemble, Olympia Youth Chorus, and Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia. The program features nine world premiere dances including Carnival of the Animals composed by Camille Saint-Saens, excerpts from Carmina Burana composed by Carl Orff, an Irving Berlin medley, and more! Johansen Olympia Dance Center is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 8 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels. Primary through Level 5 will be taught by ABT® Certified Teachers Ken and Josie Johnson who have successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
