Audition for Ballet Northwest’s Nutcracker at the Washington Center! Auditions will be held at Olympia Dance Center on Saturday, September 26. Participants must be eight years old before September 1. No previous experience is necessary for ages 8-10. Dancers from any studio may audition. Intermediate/advanced dancers age 12 and up may also audition for the BNW company. A South Sound holiday tradition for 40 years, The Nutcracker will be performed December 11-20. The production features professional sets, stunning costumes, 200 local dancers and guest artist Maddox Ellison from the American Ballet Theatre School in New York. Join Clara and The Nutcracker on their magical journey through the battle scene between the mice and toys soldiers, the enchanting Kingdom of Snow, and the Sugar Plum Fairy’s Land of Sweets.
